While the exhibit is on display, the Aurora Public Library is hosting a Power of One Special Presentation that brings the history of Americas first female doctor to life. After facing rejection by all the leading medical schools, Elizabeth Blackwell was accepted by Geneva Medical College where she graduated first in her class in 1849.
